I should have measured the length of the dollar bill and compared to the length of this wallet instead of trusting the pictures. The length of the dollar bill and the length of this wallet are the same. However, there is a 1/8 inch seam at each end of the wallet. Therefore, when dollar bills are placed in the bill compartment, the compartment shortens by 1/4 inch, causing the bills to crumple rather than lie flat. . Please see my photos to better understand why this is such a problem. The wallet closes so badly, and instead of a flimsy wallet, it turns into a bulky mess. The bills will fit in the compartment if folded in half and placed vertically instead of horizontally, but that means I have to pull out the entire stack just to get out the bills I want to use. Flashing a stack of cash every time I want to make a purchase is unwelcome and unsafe. This thin wallet only stays thin when I'm carrying very few bills. Even if I start with a few big bills, the moment I get my change, I'll run into the same problem. Since online photos of this wallet show bills sticking out at an angle, I believe they must have been aware of this issue when these misleading photos were taken, if not before. I was very excited about this wallet when I ordered it but completely disappointed when I tried to use it. If you really don't like flaunting your money in front of other people, and I fully recognize that there are people who do, I do not recommend this wallet at all.
