For a long time I thought WISS scissors were a brand of quality scissors. Maybe that has changed over the years. My roommate has an old smaller pair of scissors in this set of 2 and they are sharp, GREAT and we use them many times a day. I wanted a pair. So why not TWO couples? They are not available individually so I was forced to buy a set of 2 which includes a large pair of scissors. They cut well like most "quality" scissors. What is decisive for me, however, is that when cutting (i.e. paper) up to the tip of the scissors, there must be no "sideways" cut at the end. These little scissors failed in this regard, mainly because they are not sharp at the tip and I am very disappointed in this aspect. I haven't used them extensively since I got them recently, but my first test shows that between two scissors all four cut ;). I have various scissors and fabric cutting tools, so I won't talk about them. Another great feature that I love about the smaller scissors is that the finger holes are larger than most small scissors and are very comfortable for my fingers and if my knuckle slips it's easy enough to slip out it doesn't stay like that hanging at other small scissors.
