Review on FoodVacBags 10 Inch Pouches Compatible FoodsaverTM by Brandi Patel

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I loved their bags and it was both interesting and comforting.

After purchasing a FoodSaver from Costco two months ago, I ordered 100 bags! 50 pint and 50 quart 4 mil FoodVacBag for FoodsaverTM and other vacuum sealers from this supplier. I loved their bags and it was both interesting and reassuring to watch the groceries being vacuumed inside the bag. Before I ran out of pint sized bags, I rushed to place another order for 200 more. Now I'm disappointed because more than a third of the bags on my second order didn't stay sealed. All bags are vacuumed, but many will expire in just a few days. The sunflower seeds in the photo were vacuum packed using a bag from my original order about a month ago. The bag is still like a brick - very nice. But both the peach and garlic were packed in bags from the second order just a few days ago. And they both leaked. (The garlic was vacuum packed twice. It leaked both times.) I'm very upset because I'm between cataract surgeries (one eye had surgery last week and the other eye next week). To prepare, I pre-cooked the food and packaged it into "ready-to-eat” meals. And many of them are in the freezer without a vacuum. Overall, I still think the packages are great. I must have received bags from a bad lot. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I think I can request a refund before the end of this month. But based on my research prior to my first order, these bags seem to be the best option in terms of price and performance.
