Looks Great and Works Creatively

I used this to install a Yamaha soundbar on a 43" LG TV. It worked and looked pretty good. This helped with the sound of the soundbar itself, as the Yamaha soundbar's speakers faced upwards when I was sitting straight on the stand. With these brackets, the soundbar speakers now face you. You have to get a little creative when attaching it to the soundbar. The guide itself helps a little, but isn't really very informative. The problem I had for a minute was actually how the brackets attach directly to the soundbar. The instructions said nothing about this, since the soundbar mount only had the slots for the wall mount. After browsing the hardware selection a bit, I found two things with a thread inside (like a screw). I measured the size and they fit into the wall mount holes on the back of the soundbar. Using a hammer and a couple of light taps, I pressed them into the back of the soundbar. I was then able to screw the soundbar onto the brackets. The instructions don't say anything, but I assume it needs to be done. You can adjust the mounts and bar fairly easily, but I took the easy way out. I just made sure the angle of the brackets matched the angle of the TV. I then simply screwed the soundbar onto the full extension brackets in the slot of my choice to allow for height adjustment. This ensures that the Thr bar is flush with the TV and centered edge to edge. I have a gap of about 1 inch from the TV to the soundbar, but this was easier than measuring a lot to look flush. And it really doesn't look bad, just a small crack. All in all, an easy setup once I attached the screws and popped them into the back of the soundbar In terms of weight, these mounts are pretty heavy for their size. I was surprised. I'm sure they will hold 20lbs as advertised with no problem. The Yamaha bar I have is pretty heavy and has a subwoofer in it. These mounts have no problem holding the bar and mounts, nor did they bend or flex when I installed them. Just take a few minutes and use the spacers that come with the hardware. Be creative and these brackets work great. If you can't find a way to screw the soundbar on yourself, find threaded studs for it with small teeth on the outside and see if they fit the wall mounting holes. From then on it will be okay.
