Update: I would not recommend this duvet cover for pets. It was great at first, but now the cat's claws keep tugging at it and I have a lot of snags in it. I'm going to make a canvas comforter as I've been trying so hard to find quality linens and my goodness they just don't make the way they used to! The ties are incredibly small but holding up is the best I can say about it at the moment. From the packaging they were soft but we washed them as we do with all new fabrics. It doesn't wrinkle and is easy to pull over a blanket - using the burrito method. I wish the ties were a few inches longer. I'm not sure I like how casual it looks ie it's more like sheets and very different from the textured comforters I've used over the past few years, but again I used a duvet and bedspread to round it out making it easier for me to wash. .Cat hair goes on everything! The cat has already tried to scratch it, but didn't get it! He collects cat hair, but mine is dark gray and the hair is not visible. After the bed was made, the cat quickly took up its roost in the middle of the bed. I bought this purely with cat fur/claws in mind and not only is it approved for cats, it seems to make life easier for humans!
