My kids are obsessed. The reverbs are really fun, as are the programmed sounds. It improves them, but not too much to annoy me too much. I wouldn't use it as a microphone to speak to a group of people - it's really just a kid's toy. They figured out the buttons very quickly and love signing and dancing with them.
