Rumperooz vs. Duo of 30 vs. Buttons

Rumperooz vs. Duo of 30 vs. Buttons We have chosen cloth diapers for our baby. Cloth-eez prefolds (beautiful). We received 2 rumperooz all-in-1 cases as gifts, as well as 2 one-size-fits-all Thirsties cases and 1 all-in-1 Buttons case. Then we got an extra size 1 Thirsties case and a size 2 Thirsties case. Here are our thoughts: Rumperooz: They feel great. This is very beautiful fabric. It's easy to erase. We washed them and always dried them. Rumperooz dries longer than others. They have double pleats which is great. We didn't have any breakthroughs with them. The two buttons along the thigh in this case are vertically spaced apart. We started using these covers when our little one was around 6-7 pounds, he was a bit early. They are really bulky for our newborn. They adjusted well, but all the excess fabric kept coming out of the baby's jumpsuit. They were also bulky enough that when the diaper was on, they lifted the baby's hips and forced the baby to lie at an angle when lying on their back, making it easier for the baby to spit up. When the little one was around 10 pounds, they seemed better and didn't feel as bulky. It's nice that they were able to adjust the baby to such a size. They really are all in one, you can just get them and put them on for the entire time your baby is in a diaper. Rumperooz is my husband's favorite. They were also the brand that was recommended to us the most. They also have one of the cutest designs out there. Thirsties: They don't feel as comfortable as Rumperooz, but have proven to be waterproof. The issue we noticed is that the material on the outside isn't the same as the inside of the diaper and only that edge isn't waterproof. When our baby pees so much that the whole diaper is soaked, the outer edge of the nappy will also be wet. We tend to change a baby's diaper often enough that this is not a common problem. It also has double folds and we didn't have a single tear. It has two buttons along the hip that are horizontal to each other. This is a size that fits us 6 to 14 pounds. And the second size, which started off a little loose at 12lbs, then did well at 13-14lbs, and looks like this size will fit the rest of the time once the baby is in diapers. Although my husband likes the one size. and I have to agree it was very nice to have 3 little diaper bags when our little one was very little. I loved how much better the smaller size 1 diapers fit when our baby was under 10 pounds. I would only use other covers if everyone in the wash was thirsty. Now that our little one is only one size larger, the thirst control diaper still fits him best, especially around the waist. Washes easily and dries very quickly. We washed them and always hung them out to dry. Even if the finish gets wet at times, I just love how much better the thirsty ones fit our little one. I think they are my favourites. I'd be curious to try Thirsty All-in-1 if it ever comes out. Buttons: These cases are designed to be used with their own brand of inserts, but I felt compelled to try them after hearing good things about the brand. They advertise that it is suitable for weights from 9 pounds, but it still seemed too loose for our little one up to about 11 pounds. It still doesn't seem to sit on the hips as well as everyone else. No matter what I do, it either feels very loose or tight enough to leave a red ring around my baby's thighs. It has two buttons along the hip that are horizontal to each other. Their material is more like rumperooz cases, which is nice. Even with double pleats, and they don't puff up either, even with an odd hip fit. Easy to clean and dries relatively quickly. We washed them and always hung them out to dry. We love this sleeve and we love its tangerine color, but we probably least use it with pre-folded diapers.
