I bought this to improve the lighting for virtual meetings with my Logitech BRIO camera. With the current lighting in the room, and with three large monitors in front of my face, my pale skin needs a warmer light source to keep it from fading, even after manually adjusting white balance and exposure control on the camera. I use this light at 3100K and it works really well and complements the ambient light, although the warmer tone makes my light brown hair look a bit red. It's a very well made light and quite bright. Even on the darkest level if it's too close to you you'll see smudges for a while if you look straight at it. I mounted it on one of those little gorilla-like tripods with flexible legs and put it on my desk under the center monitor so it beamed in my face. The controls are solid and the aluminum body makes it quite heavy. Product. In fact, installing it on a portable camera seems quite cumbersome. The adjustable mounting base looks useful for photographers, although I didn't need anything besides a tripod. I've used it in a few meetings over the 4-5 days I've been using it and it still comes with 3/5 battery so battery life seems good. My only real, but minor, complaint is that some of the controls are so reliable. and stiff to handle, which can be difficult to set up and leaves it where it sits. The power button in particular at the top is recessed flush with the case and has a barely noticeable textured grip patch - it takes quite a bit of force to turn on and usually 2 hands, as the texture is so negligible that you don't really feel like you are Get traction without pushing and use your other hand to keep the flashlight from moving. So I would like it to be a bit easier to steer quickly with one hand without being too distracting otherwise. But for the price and build quality, these are minor complaints. I recommend this flashlight for the price paid.
