Review on 💻 Onvian 3 Port USB Hub: High-Speed Splitter with Plug-and-Play Capability, Bus-Powered by Shaun Helm

Used on a laptop to increase the number of USB ports. It had 2 cables plugged into the back (not using the top USB3 port) and it wobbled a bit. Then, after a while, the plastic holding the USB connector broke, exposing the circuit board. I went to reassemble it (which was bad) and the fork itself wobbled. I looked at how the USB connector was attached to the internal circuit board and it looks like the soldering was done wrong. There was only solder on one side of the connector (should have soldered on both sides). In the end I'm glad it was kept on the same solder otherwise it could come loose in my computer when unplugged and cause a short and burn out my USB port. Great idea but poor implementation. To update. After reading my review, Onvian contacted me and offered either a refund or a replacement product. I have decided to send it back. I upgraded my rating from 1 to 4 stars because customer service resolved the issue.
