This harness consists of a tightly coiled endless spring. I cut the wire with wire cutters to fit perfectly to narrow the waist. The next day at work I hated that belt. It tends to pinch lint on my clothes and feels rough on fabric. Also, never let it touch your skin, it will rip out all the peachy vellus hairs. I wore it for about an hour and gave up after it pulled out some fine hairs on my arm and started making fluffy pills of cloth on my skirt. Shame as it added a nice touch to my work outfit but not worth it.
