The Canon brand is suitable for the 55-250mm lens, but the Fotasy brand is not.
Ideal for Canon ef-s 55-250mm is stm and is a suitable lens hood unlike Fotasy HET-63 which does not fit. I ordered two of these before giving up and spending more on the Canon brand. Canon has a large lens hood, which is necessary for a zoom of this size. The Fotasy hood is suitable for this lens, but it is too small. Compared to my other lens hoods, Fotasy is the same as the 18-55mm STM lens hood.
