Review on Premium Limited Ingredient Diet Wet Cat Food - Natural Grain Free Canned Cat Food by Freely by Tracey Brown

Such high hopes. The Best in Cans

I liked that this food was guar gum free and wanted to give Buddy a try. Also, at this price I didn't want to try it without free return if there was a problem. I love working with a company that stands behind their product! Unfortunately, this food didn't even pass Buddy's sniff test. sigh He doesn't usually eat canned food for more than a day, but we hoped this meal would change Buddy's life and us. It's not like this. One thing I found interesting is the texture. One review noted that the rabbit was a dry pie. Turkey is not. It's a bit mushy but not greasy. If you've tried Merrick's limited-ingredient turkey, it's about the same, albeit a little softer. Anyway, I'm still giving it 4 stars because they've eliminated the guar gum, which they all seem to be adding to the mix lately, which is known to cause pancreatitis. Despite the fact that it is obtained from legumes, Indian beans, it is still difficult for a cat to digest. Agar-agar, which is used as a thickening agent, has the same chemical composition as carrageenan, so it's ready. It's hard to win when you're feeding cats and fighting to give them good food. Also disappointing. I don't know if we'll ever find canned food that Buddy will eat all the time, but our search continues.
