I bought this to mount my cell phone charger at a steeper angle so the glare from the overhead lights doesn't interfere with reading my phone's screen when it's showing notifications. It worked fantastic! Note. I used this on another manufacturer's dual monitor mount. The post was about 1/4 inch smaller in diameter. I had to look around but found an empty roll of cardboard tape, the perfect thickness. Then he tightened it. I think it wouldn't be ideal to use this method on a heavy monitor, but it worked for my purpose. Measure your post to make sure it works if you're not a Macgyver like some of us are.
