Didn't scare a single flea

I don't know how those bastards got into my house - either in boots or a rescued kitten. I applied them to my three house cats the same day I received them after a thorough flea comb. All three were treated with Advantage II 3 weeks ago and it's been a daily struggle to exorcise ungrateful free riders since they were spotted. I got these collars to keep out new fleas which I've been missing despite daily vacuuming, diatomaceous earth, almost daily flea combing with Blue Dawn/Water, furniture flea spray, washing everything that wasn't nailed down, shampooing carpets, adding lavender oil in the human skin. Lotion, storing most of my daughter's blankets and blankets after washing. In any case, I waited a few days to brush the cats out for fleas and was dismayed to find live fleas hanging just below the collars meant to scare them away. All the cats had no sense of evil and they are all mad at me for putting collars on them. What a waste of money.
