My son loves these shoes. I thought zippers and laces would be a great option: the boy gets shoelaces that he thinks are so cool and mom and dad get the ability to just zip and unzip instead of loosening, tightening and tying the laces. It's not working as well as I thought it would. At first not at all. But since they're shrunk, the zippers are enough for zipping up and down. They're too heavy to put on alone as they're big, but since he only wears them to church, it's not too much of a hassle.
