Review on LensCoat LCG2530SN LegCoat GT2530EX Realtree by Justin Luna

I bought this item to protect my Gitzo CF tripod legs so I chose black. There are covers for each of the three legs, each consisting of a rubber sleeve and a foam cover (the foam has an adhesive strip that sticks to the tripod leg). The rubber sheet has velcro. While I find this article very useful for, say, tripod camouflage when photographing wildlife outdoors (with a proper housing), it is not very practical for general protection. The case is very thick and not very practical for general use. . The tripod legs don't fold down tightly when the subject is in place, making it quite awkward to use. I'm considering omitting the foam piece and just sewing the velcro onto the rubber sleeve to provide leg protection as the rubber sleeve has a much lower profile. as thick foam. Regardless, I'm not too happy with this solution (why couldn't Gitzo have padded in the first place?).
