So I don't know what made me order this toy for my child, it was a very painful experience from the start: 1) A lot of assembly work. The holes are marked but not made. The wood isn't soft, it's super hard, so you have to put all your energy into driving the screws into the wood, and there are EIGHT of them. 2) The instructions are completely incomprehensible. They seem to assume that the parts are symmetrical and it doesn't matter which part goes where or which way, but hey, I felt it mattered so I had to loosen the hard-to-insert screws and then reassemble the parts properly order (self-conceived) and then screw it back in. 3) After all the pain I finally got my daughter what seemed to be a thoughtful gift, she rocked a few times, was upset that he wouldn't rock all the way back (YES!) and soon got tired of it. 4) There is music that plays when you press your ears, my daughter loved that part (1 star for that) but the batteries died within an hour! So I bought Duracell batteries (4 pack) and put them in, they caught on in a day! Wow, that thing eats batteries! Now the horse just lies in a corner, my daughter didn't play half the time I spent assembling this thing, it's very sad :(
