Review on Thule Women's Capstone Atlantic Backpack for Hiking and Daypacks by Robert Hickey

My wife happened to buy my son a very similar Boy Scouts of America bag which compares favorably to this bag. As a Thule bag, it's packed with compartments and features; Of course, there are a large number of small fasteners. The stitching and materials are very good, with enough padding at the contact points. Personally, I would have preferred a simpler bag, but I appreciate the creativity of the Thule design team. Even though this is exclusively for women I'm at a loss as to why a man can't use this too, the straps are quite adjustable. If you are not an expert at packing and carrying such a bag, it is helpful to have a scout help you. I was surprised to learn that these bags are not designed to carry weight on the shoulders, rather they need to be adjusted to carry more weight on the hips.
