My daughter wears it as a rashguard to protect herself from the board and the sun at the beach. It is well made and has strong stitching. It holds its shape when wet and dries fairly quickly once out of the water. The cut of the swim shirt is quite loose and sometimes gathers around the middle of the shirt. The fabric has a UV rating of 50+, but I have to put sunscreen on her neck and lower torso when the t-shirt moves and exposes her skin. The parts that always cover their skin perfectly protect them from the sun's rays. All in all this is a good swim shirt for when you are in the water and out in the sun.
