I would have given this hat a higher rating but I have seen my friends sons (2) make different boys hats from the same company and they made it a lot better! I have a problem with the inner elastic, it leaves a huge red stain on my daughter's head because there is nothing on the elastic. It looks quite painful and might give her a headache! I'll loosen it up but we live in a windy and sunny place so we need a hat to stay in the sea. Other hats (son of friends) are covered with a piece of fabric! Second, the back of the same band just sticks out. hat and the lack of fabric covering it on the back of the hat. Other hats (son of friends) have fabric covering the elastic. I don't know if I have the old style and they've been updated recently, or if they just add fabric to boy style hats? now. I was very curious so I contacted the company directly to see if they could help me. They told me that the hat I received was an old production from last year and years past. Well, as of April 2019, my hat is 4 months old, I bought it in December 2018. EDIT: JUNE 1st, 2019 Another person from the company called me back and provided me with a new cap!
