The reviews were great so I expected it to be great. When I took it out of my drawstring pouch I was impressed by its weight and feel. I have a cheap tripod I bought at Walmart many years ago and found it to be much better. I really like the adjustment on the head, it's easy to make fine adjustments on the fly. I wish it had a head lift handle, but I guess that doesn't let you flip for underhand shots. My biggest complaint is that the legs feel flimsy when mounted, especially at full height, which isn't very tall. Despite the camera's weight, it feels like the legs go in too easily and nothing is holding them down. It also stinks when you move it because as soon as you pick it up, the legs fold down instead of staying, so you have to adjust them every time you put it on.
