Loud and unreliable

I've had Revlon cuticle nippers for years, and they've only recently become blunt. Decided to replace it with this one. It's only been three months and he's already bored. The split mechanism used to separate both handles makes a very annoying squeaking noise like nails on a chalkboard as it scrapes and rubs against the inside of the chalkboard. Handle. After all, the tip is the only sharp part of wire cutters. The ends of the blades are blunt. :(
