TIP - If you use this or other similar tools. - This tells you not to twist and pull too much, just a constant tug (30 seconds to a minute plus, let the tick come back out.) - Have a plastic bag handy and put it in the freezer. Duct tape is fine if you don't plan to test for diseases. - If possible, put on a glove. If not, then later a magic wand or something similar. Apply pressure to the skin with the tip of the tool and tilt the back of the tool up slightly (usually at a 45 degree angle) to get close to the tick's head and glide. in. Try to get under both front legs. With a gloved hand, gently hold the end of the tool against the back of the tool until you pull it out. Don't jerk or pull too hard or you could rip your head off and have a whole host of other problems. - Clean the wound with hydrogen peroxide and then isopropyl alcohol (no, not stupid Captain Morgan, that's after you're done). - Clean the tool with alcohol. - Identify the tick if it's a deer tick, look out for symptoms of Lyme disease - If the tick has been attached for less than 24 hours, it's said to be less likely to pass things on - Now enjoy your drink Your choice.
