This is a set of 12 folded sheets of 12" x 20" wrapping paper. The size is small, but the size is indicated in the product description. It's up to you to decide whether it's practical or not. It was designed to pack small items so I don't need thick fancy packaging. It's better than some of the flimsy stuff I've used and is great for the size. I don't judge by the price. The price is right in the description. We all have different needs and budgets. I like folded paper for small items, and I like to use gift bags for larger items (or if I'm buying very large items, I also order a matching bag). I rarely use material on a roll and since I like to have different designs I really don't want to have to deal with multiple rolls. I just don't want to keep too much. I prefer to buy what I need every year. I don't have to worry, so this works for me. That's why comfort and variety of design are important to me. That being said, rolls are cheaper, and even some rolled packages are cheaper. But if you choose to use it, the quality is perfect for small items and medium sized items/boxes.
