My son works as a mechanic and was suffering from wrist pain which interfered with his work. The orthopedist diagnosed TFCC and explained that the wrist must remain as stable as possible after a cortisone shot in order to heal. There was no way to take vacations, and he uses his wrist all the time at work, so he needed to find a brace that would work well without being bulky. There was no way he could use a splint that would cover any part of his arm, so he decided to try this one as it just wrapped around his wrist. I have to say it worked wonders and two weeks later the pain was almost gone. I was willing to pay $50 for braces that would work great, but instead we found these for less than $10 and they worked great!
