Sweet but with a strong sweet smell.

As another reviewer said, it smelled very strong - too strong for a young boy. When I took it out, the dryer sheet fell out. My family doesn't use dryer sheets because many of us are allergic. I immediately ran the scarf through a rinse cycle with some vinegar. The scarf still smells, but much better. The scarf survived the rinse cycle well. My son loves the scarf. He wants to be an astronaut when he grows up, and he doesn't mind if it doesn't match his Spider-Man hat.
