This astronaut figure is so cute when the light is off. When the light is on, the galaxy projector night light is amazing as it casts green stars and nebulae on the ceiling and walls depending on the tilt of the astronaut's head. I believe the stars are from the rectangular "power blocks" on the top sides of the astronaut helmet, and the haze (colors can be changed) is from the center of the helmet faceplate. The astronaut figure is easy to position as the head rotates and tilts to create a light show in the right place. The astronaut's arms also rotate up and down, but this does not affect the light. This figure is mounted on a round gray lunar surface. The legs fit into a stand on a pedestal on the lunar surface, although if lifted they can very easily detach the legs and pedestal. The Galaxy projector is powered by a USB cable. I plugged it into a USB charging station, although a USB power plug works too. The controls (on/off, stars and nebulae) are located on the back of the astronaut backpack. There is also a remote control that requires 2 AAA batteries which are not included. The remote control has a timer function, as well as on/off and control of stars and nebulae. My rating is 5 stars because it looks great - both on and off. Candles make me very happy.
