W211 E Class Sedan 2007 with OEM bracket as shown alongside the green checkered image. Bought this adapter to install replacement H7 LED bulbs as the factory/OEM mount doesn't fit LED bulbs. This adapter didn't work at all. The mounting tabs that engage the H7 bulb wrench protruded beyond the bulb flange, preventing it from fitting flush into the fixture. The two side wings that engage the twist-lock locking mechanism were too high to engage the locking hooks. I modified the stem and bent the retaining wings just enough to snap onto the mounting hooks, but the bulb was not securely attached. I was able to wiggle the base of the bulb and the retaining clip slipped out of one of the hooks and then the bulb came loose. After about an hour of experimenting and trying to get them to work, I gave up and went back to the OEM retainers. I ended up taking a rotary tool to the OEM locking clip and enlarged the center hole to allow the LED bulb to go through. The OEM bracket is made of thicker metal material and attaches securely to the LED lamp flange and securely hooks the twist-lock locking hooks. I don't know if the problem was caused by the design of the LED lamp flange or if the product is defective, but the fact that the OEM bracket worked fine after expanding the center hole puts the blame for this product on me. The photos and listing details are exactly what I received, the product just didn't work for my application, 2 star rating.
