Purchased to replace the main case for my iPad Air 1st gen (A1474). The iPad was easy to insert and fits perfectly. I love the 4-inch bar on the right that hides behind the back of the iPad for an even more secure fit. I can shake the outer shell and the iPad stays securely inside. Perfectly placed cutouts for buttons, camera, ports, etc. The side pocket can accommodate several small documents (e.g. 8/12" x 11" sheet of paper folded in half). I bought black with brown lining. , the tan is not as pale as in the photo, more like a camel. The cover has a matte finish that resembles leather. Not shiny and non-slip, looks like a high-end cover. The only improvement I can think of is that the iPad can sit both vertically and horizontally. Not a deal breaker as it is the best fitting, nice looking case for the money and I am very happy with the purchase.
