Looks better than I expected but has a strong chemical smell

I like gray bags because I wear a lot of navy blue, black, red and pink clothes. I find gray complements all of these colors and black doesn't look good with navy blue. I also have some vintage clothes and thought a vintage style handbag would be nice. Because this one was so cheap I expected it to look good but not great. I was pleasantly surprised by the matte texture and subtle surface color variations, and the style looks authentic even if the kissable lock is quite large. The short and long straps have strong bronze clasps, and the brown lining (although cheap fabric) is much better than the black because it keeps my phone, black hairbrush, and black wallet from "disappearing" inside. The bag is large enough for my everyday essentials (i.e. slightly larger than an evening bag), although I won't load it with many heavy items as the buckle on the long strap looks like it might fall apart under pressure. My only major gripe is the strong chemical smell from the bag's polyurethane material. I will open it up and leave it outside in the shade when the weather is nice. Hope the bad smell goes away.
