Review on πŸ₯ƒ Bartleet Sons 1750 T260 Traditional: The Perfect Blend of Tradition and Quality by Rip Twin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Small container but well made.

My honey pot and dipper arrived relatively on time and very well packaged but does not hold 16 oz. I immediately filled it with water to measure its capacity because I bought this particular pot as due to space constraints I wanted the 14 ounce jar I buy honey in to be completely empty when I opened the pot fill with honey. Unfortunately. , the pot I received on September 30, 2020, which is otherwise attractive and very well made, holds about 11 ounces filled to the brim, which would not be possible by leaving the ladle in the pot. The answers to the question about the capacity of this pot are very different, perhaps they came from different manufacturers over time. NOTE 1: If your ladle looks just like the raw wood of the included ladle, which is perfectly proportioned for your pot, consider seasoning it before use to prolong its life. My Fletchers Mill bucket, also bought here, has already been treated with food grade mineral oil, which can be seen by placing two buckets side by side. (Unlike vegetable oils, mineral oil does not go rancid.) NOTE 2: For decades, I kept my honey in the jars it was purchased in. And I knew how to use a metal spoon to avoid dripping on glasses or whatever. But after reading reviews about ants getting through the bucket hole, I was glad I saved the white plastic cover from another purchase. This covered ditch is filled with water before this pot of honey is placed in it and is designed to prevent ants from daring to approach this pot. (This is especially important now that this porcelain honey pot is now on the counter due to its weight because it's heavy when it's brimming with honey.) I've never had a problem with ants BUT if they somehow go find them the cache of this pot of honey, i will update this review. So if you're short on space, you might be very happy with this particular honey pot that should look good in EVERY kitchen.
