works, but to be honest it's not leather. It also has those cheap looking stitching that seems useless at the top of the strap (it's molded plastic so I guess it's an attempt to look like leather?). Torque on the wrist (as if you were picking up a child). It's a good thin alternative to the original strap but the quick releases kept breaking so I gave up.
