I used the USB for about 3 months, then at some point it switched off when connected to the mains or suddenly became very dark. I had to fiddle with it and plug it into different ports, plug and unplug it, at one point I tried putting batteries in but it just stayed in a dim/semi-lit state. Sometimes I can get it to work properly, but most of the time it's pointless. It's not like I scattered it or anything, it stayed in one place or on my bed. Stupid he decided to break up after the return time. Might buy a better quality mirror for more money but then again I had a $100+ mirror that did the same to me and luckily I got a refund.
