later This device does everything it says it does at a much lower price than anything else with a big company name and gives more results. I use this to feed my video capture card at 1080 resolution, an output to my 4K HDR TV, and an output to my soundbar's HDMI input. It is downscaled correctly to my capture card and the original signal remains intact when going through my @4K TV with HDR 10 and Dolby Vision HDR. It doesn't include EDID switches, but they don't seem needed for my application. I have used a signal splitter and it has been error free for about 2 weeks except for one incident where I had to cycle it to get the 1080 output back while my TV signal stayed fine.
