If it works, it works. I used this for my astrophotographic camera and for a while it seemed to work, but during the night my image sequence dropped due to changing the battery. This was not due to an interference issue as the wire was never compromised in this case. Sometimes when I tried to just insert the battery, it would pop just before the battery cover was closed, or worse, just as the camera was about to be mounted on my scope. I wanted this to work as cold weather drains my original battery after about 70 2 minute exposures.
