I had to go through two such blocks, only to find out that the cable of the first turned out to be bad. I live in southern Illinois where the farthest stations are 37 miles away so a 65 mile antenna shouldn't be a problem. What I found with two of these units was that I could get solid reception from stations less than 20 miles away and very patchy reception from anything further away. The unit is well made and easy to install, but when you place it way above the roof at 25 feet off the ground you can't even pull stations where I think it should have worked better. Location and setup are everything, of course, so you might just have to try it out to see if it works well for you in rural areas where stations are scattered in all directions.
