Review on 🎣 Optimized for SEO: Umpqua Steamboat 1200 Sling Pack by Aaron Jensen

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Very roomy but only fits on one shoulder.

I fish in a vest and I'm fine with that, but on week-long trips out of town I can take a lot of things that can weigh my vest down. So I thought I'd try. It's huge, has lots of attachment points for gear, and did I say it's huge? It's not waterproof and neither is my vest, so I don't mind. However, I ended up having to return it because I found it uncomfortable - my shoulder was tired of carrying the weight of a day's fly fishing, even though it was mostly empty. Here are a few reasons why I didn't like it: 1) There is no designated place for a water bottle outside, I think they want you to put it somewhere inside; 2) It only slips over one shoulder so you can't switch shoulders if someone gets tired of the strap. If you try to switch shoulders when rotating it in front of you, all the zipper holes will be turned upside down and point to earth instead of sky. And 3) I think I don't like the design of the sling at all when you have to unbuckle the strap and turn the bag inside out: I prefer to have everything right in front of me, like in a vest. I may have got used to this over time but the other two reasons I listed will not change and there are many other slings/vests that have good solutions to these problems.
