The instructions included say you can microwave and dishwasher wash them, but there are a number of instructions on how not to switch from hot to cold and vice versa as you may damage them in the process. It was also told not to microwave small amounts of food as that could also be a problem. We have a lot of boys who love superheroes (and who are we kidding, adults too) and they're very popular in the house. . I love that these are official Marvel products. My favorite thing about them is that they fold very tight and thin so they take up no closet space at all and you can easily squeeze them over or under something else or in a stack. They're also fairly light, so loading and unloading the dishwasher doesn't feel like you're lifting weights like I sometimes do with my earthenware, thick earthenware. It's a great choice for kids, but also for adults who just want a sandwich and don't want a large or heavy plate. As a mother, I also appreciate that superhero plates are extremely visually appealing. They did a good job making them blue and white to match adult plates even when we use them for kids serving for formal occasions like Thanksgiving. I really wish they would just continue with the cobwebs and such on the bowls. The shells aren't impressive in design and don't make as much sense as the spider web and face for kids who can't read yet. You can see it in the video I uploaded, but the appliqué has a rougher quality than the smooth part of the panel. It doesn't bother me, but I worry that kids might scratch it over time. I will update when this happens. I was also surprised that it was so structurally rough as opposed to being totally smooth, like paint or colored rims on something like a Lenox color panel. This is my first Corelle set since childhood so I can't tell if this is the standard for her or not. I like that they are made in the USA. It makes me feel like it's decent quality, QAQC, and I feel better getting it done with tariffs and all. I'd say it's good for the price too. I would consider buying more for my kids as they move away from plastic to make our home look more streamlined while the appliqués start to stick and come off. Overall I would recommend them.
