I don't quite understand why but I feel cozy and warm under this blanket but it never seems to get too warm. I used to sleep under a thick blanket and sometimes woke up sweaty, this blanket hasn't happened to me yet. Although you feel warm, you don't seem to overheat and it breathes enough to prevent sweating. The thick fleece blanket is super soft and comfortable whether you use it on your chair or in bed. The only thing I found a bit strange is the size. 60x80 is enough for one person, but if you have a California king bed (72x84) or a regular king bed (76x80), it doesn't cover the entire mattress and hangs down the sides like a bedspread or blanket. It doesn't matter, it just means it doesn't work as a bedspread. So if you want to make your bed nice and tidy, you still need to cover it with a bedspread or quilt or whatever. If you're getting this as a gift for someone, remember it weighs 20 pounds! This can be very handy for the elderly but make sure they are not too heavy to lift and store. Cleaning can also be a problem, it can be too heavy for your home washing machine. Soaked in water, it weighs a lot more than 20 pounds, so some people will have trouble getting it from the washer to the dryer.
