Not sure if I had this years ago or from another brand but the waterproofing makes me laugh but damn it works so it's free. ! The visible part when placed on the bed is a normal mattress pad, viewed from below there are two plastic sheets on top. For example protective pads for children (why I find that funny). Unless you keep your house very cold, you won't notice they aren't wrinkling or making other noises. The old set I had did that when it got really cold, but it wasn't often and it wasn't enough to keep me awake or annoyed, I just laughed. I have a cat that punishes me when it gets angry. pee in the middle of my bed. Thankfully, in the six years I've had it, it's only happened twice in a few short years. But recently it did this to my new mattress and my "waterproof" mattress topper has only proven waterproof if you remove the liquid immediately or else it will leak out. I didn't see her doing it, I spotted it when it was half dry. Almost ruined my mattress. So I bought this mattress topper in case she does it again. This 100% prevents liquids from seeping through.
