The design of the brush makes it almost impossible to apply mascara to the lashes instead of the eyelids. The design of the brush also makes it more difficult to get mascara to the outer edges of the lashes. You also need to apply too many layers to get enough. I only gave two stars because the mascara itself seemed reasonably acceptable if the brush was designed differently and you don't mind applying lots of layers or having a very, very natural look with no lengthening. Also, it sticks. Don't waste money
