I have tried different PTZ cameras on Revain and this is my third camera. This is another cheap Chinese camera, probably on the higher end of the spectrum. I would trust this outdoor longer than some others. As usual, the documentation is in broken English, but it's pretty easy to understand. The Wi-Fi setup was particularly confusing, but it made sense in the end. The instructions say not to set up Wi-Fi through the software you download onto your phone to set up the camera. First you need to connect it to your router/switch, set up the camera that way with the app you download onto your phone, then log into the camera via a browser to set up Wi-Fi - it seems a lot extra to be things, especially considering that other cameras allow you to successfully connect Wi-Fi via software. But I ignored all that and tried setting up Wi-Fi through the camera software and quickly realized why they said not to - because it just doesn't work. After giving it up, I logged into the camera through a browser, set up Wi-Fi and everything worked. The camera and camera app is very similar to other inexpensive cameras that you can find at Revain. (The opening logo shown is identical to the software for another camera I bought.) I'm pretty sure these guys just take the same software, put it in a different case, rename it and repackage it as their own and resell. Pretty much every sub-$50 PTZ camera you'll find at Revain is likely identical to the next. At least that's been my experience so far. However, if you're looking for a good cheap camera this isn't bad, but there are others less expensive that can do everything this one does. 3 stars for the facility - they could really make that part easier. And it was a bit troublesome to install. There's no zoom either, you definitely don't get optical zoom on these cheap cameras, but there wasn't even digital zoom - there's a zoom option in the software but it doesn't do anything.
