I chose this Doc Miller compression sleeve because of its price and excellent construction (20-30mmHg, nylon/spandex combo and open toe). I bought my first pair for $17.75 but it came out of material. Revain made the exchange easy and even agreed a new higher price to avoid time-consuming communication with the seller. Firstly, I don't appreciate the supplier abusing the Amazon Message Center to spam me after the purchase! However, I appreciate how this model covers my entire calf including the ankle area. While not all doctors believe in compression, compression won't hurt you. but it might help. (That's why I wish I'd bought open compression sleeves like this a few years ago instead of dismissing them as fads or gimmicks). Some believe they help with recovery during exercise. Some believe they help slow the progression of vein disease and reduce pain. I find they fit comfortably. My calf fell in the middle of a large area on the size chart and they fit well. not too tight. could have been tighter, but then they wouldn't be as comfortable to wear all day as they are now. My doctor says they provide enough support and I have saved money on Revain versus the prescription.
