Review on Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W230 12 MP Digital Camera With 4X Optical Zoom And Super Steady Shot Image Stabilization (Dark Red) by Will Carey

Absolutely unbelievable!

I needed a second camera for business as we use the same camera in the office which often causes delays. I was so happy with the Sony Cybershot DSCW80 that I bought about two or three years ago that it wasn't difficult to upgrade to this newer, more megapixel version. This is my fourth Sony digital camera and I love it. I cannot stress enough how amazing the anti-blur technology is in this camera. While these newer lightweight cameras are much more portable than their predecessors, they're also difficult to hold steady without adding a little extra weight. I don't have Parkinson's, but I don't have a solid surgical hand either, and this camera makes up for that. I don't like using the zoom function without a tripod, but the more you zoom in on a camera, the more it shakes if it's not on a stable surface. It just fits into the area. I'm a hobby photographer - I only use this for normal photos of everyday things. I need something easy to aim and shoot. It has the same basic controls as my other Sonys, with the bonus of a slightly larger screen on the back. Most users will probably have no problem using the dials and menus on the back to experiment with different settings and review shots already taken. I doubt you need to consult the manual if you have previous experience with digital cameras. I have camcorders and imaging software, so I have not used the video function and have not installed or used any Sony software on my computer, so I cannot comment on any of these features. The battery charges faster than previous models and seems to last longer when shooting. The images are fantastic - I could pan while shooting and still get a sharp and clean image. Some people don't like the lens powering up when you turn it on, but I think it's a small price to pay for this image quality. The only thing I don't like about this camera, like all Sony cameras, is that it doesn't support a standard SD card and you have to use a Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo. It's not necessary, it's a little annoying, and if it required a standard SD card I'd give it 5 stars. If you can get around the fact that this camera requires you to buy a dedicated memory card (and it's such a great camera that it's easy to make that jump), you'll be very happy with it for years to come. I highly recommend this camera to everyone, both advanced users and beginners. This is fantastic value that will keep your memories and great photos for your business for years to come.
