I worked in the leather industry for many years and the term "Full Grain" is rare because it's more expensive. A full grain leather is actually a single piece of leather and very durable, just like a leather jacket or boots. The trick of the craft is "real leather" meaning that the leather pieces/cuts are chemically treated and pressed together into "glued leather". This belt and 90% of belts and leather accessories (wallets, cheap shoes, etc.) are knitted. Price is your first sign, and next is where it's made. This belt has been marked "Made in India", RED FLAG! Any other foreign country is a reason for reconsideration. Well this is very difficult to test as these plants are very good at making bound seeds look like whole grains. My main method is to inspect and feel the edges of the belt. If it feels rougher and not smooth, it's probably full-grain. The smooth edge is a coating that prevents the pressed parts from separating.
