I've searched for a million different keyboard palm rests. I've tried $2 wrist rests on random Chinese sites, cheaper ones at Best Buy and after just not liking them I spent a bit more and got this wrist rest and WOW I love it! It's not too hard, but not too soft either and feels very well made. It's insanely comfortable when I'm playing or typing for a long time, and it looks great! The keyboard I bought didn't have a palm rest, so it was REQUIRED. But having had previous keyboards with wrist rests, I would still recommend this wrist rest over most other wrist rests that come late with most keyboards. I have to say that HyperX has once again blown it out of the park in terms of quality and affordability.
