First: the smell. It's terrible. It smelled like tires sitting out in the sun, which made more sense when I realized the rubber(?) piping of the entire bag had literally half-melted and gone sticky. I rubbed the edge a little trying to understand what kind of material it was and it immediately came off. So, yes, some kind of rubber or soft plastic that smells awful, sticky, and disgusting. There were also black marks on the inside of the bag where it had melted and a piece of glue that was just hanging off. So disappointed because it's just as cute in person as it is online and the perfect medium size. I hope they fix the quality control issues.
