Do not use without supervision!

Update February 17, 2018 I tried to use it again this week and it took two days to get very hot and the arrester circuit to which it was connected failed. ripped out, currently too dangerous to use and I'm throwing it away! But I'll cut the cord so nobody finds it and tries to use it because it might burn the house down. It got that hot. At the moment I would give ZERO stars as it is a FIRE HAZARD. -------------- -------------- -------------- -------- Update: December 9th 2016 It was a bit chilly in here and I turned on this heater and it works pretty well. Then I decided to move it away from me and that's when I realized "THE FORK IS VERY, VERY HOT!". that he literally burned me when I touched the metal pins! Now I'm afraid to use it again for fear it will catch fire. I decided to review ONE Stars and this seems to be one of their most common complaints. I can still use that from time to time, but as a tip to everyone, keep an eye on the fork. Too bad because I really like how the device heats the room, but now I'm hesitant to use it. Being in Hawaii which is warm most of the time I only used it once when I got the flu and needed to stay warm. Funny that I have to say that because the weather here in Hawaii is mostly 75 degrees and more. But many of you will laugh when I say that people here get cold when the temperature drops below 72, which is rare, but it happens. I didn't notice the smell that a lot of people complain about. The unit is only 16 inches tall so I had to put it on a stand to keep it level with the top of the bed. It has temperature controls in 5-degree increments up to around 90 degrees, oscillates if you want, and has a two-speed fan. The only thing missing is a timer, which could come in handy. But for about $50 it runs in a small and maybe a medium room, I'm very happy with it.
