Review on L O L Surprise Chalet Winter Disco by Mark Bishop

So I can't promise it will arrive like this every time, but luckily it was sent in a regular larger box which hides the contents. Thank God. Compared to last year's LOL dollhouse, this thing must be amazing. I was lucky enough to pick it up at a killer sale, but if I didn't, it was absolutely NOT worth the normal retail price. Even considering how widespread last year's version has been over the past 11 months (that's almost daily use since day one), and how many extra features this version has and the higher quality of everything it can I still can't justify the price listed upon release. Compared to last year's model: - This year's family group includes the LOL boy, LOL older sister and pet, but NOT LOLOMG. All dolls included are exclusive to this set. WARNING: The included LOL boy is anatomically correct - the chimney shoots 'snow', but the engine powering the chimney is loud and lacks a sparkle in its operation. As far as I can tell these are the same snow pellets as the latest LOLOMG series, but I could be wrong. We don't use a chimney because our 9 year old hates it. Secretly, that's a good thing, because in fact it only lasted 90 seconds before completely failing. The elevator has been replaced with a working ski lift, and now the plastic stairs have been given an icy look and rotated as well. up the hill which is empty straight into the pool. - The pool itself is very shallow and I'm not sure it can even be used as a pool due to the battery compartment underneath and the difficulty of draining it cleanly. The included liner can actually be frozen in a working ice rink for LOL use, which is easy to fill by placing it empty in the freezer and filling it with a cup until the level is in the freezer drawer, but once melted, it's a mess remove and transport across the house to the sink without spilling. - Other areas that can see water are also plastic and this time they actually have plastic edges (still amazes me that last year this wasn't the case). More magical when the light is off. Attention to detail and a seemingly lack of quality control, this is absolutely NOT worth the purchase price.
