I bought this as a THIRD mount for my USB Blue Yeti which NEVER seemed to fit any of the 5/8 mounts I've tried before. soon a bad rating with 1 star. So I checked the box to make sure nothing was missing from a supposedly compatible product and in that box I found a small piece of paper that EXACTLY described my problem. It provided a url which then gave me the reason for the solution. CAUSE - Some Blu Yeti USB microphones are not manufactured correctly and the hole in the stand is too big. SOLUTION - Wrap plumbing tape (used on shower faucets to prevent leakage) around the stand's threads to make up the difference. Worked like a champ and my mic is safe now. Auphonix does a great job with this issue and solves it on their website. A+.
